About Wayne County, Indiana Connections
Hello and welcome to my site,
My family tree is composed of a wide variety of
individuals from
many
different backgrounds. The only themes that they
have in common are that their
ancestors or descendants were pioneers who came to America from Europe
between
the 1600s and the 1800s and that some members of their families lived in
Wayne
Co., Indiana at some
time.
The information that I have found is well supported by evidence. My research
comes from many places including Earlham College's Quaker archives,
Hinshaw's
Quaker abstracts of meetings, census's, biographies, will abstracts,
newspapers, vital records, and more, as well as from well-established
Quaker
pedigrees, and Society of Friends' web sites on the Internet. Where I question
a connection, I have tried to point this out. Of course, it very difficult
or
impossible to prove some relationships, but I have tried to support
everything
with several sources. I especially want to thank my Mother Betty Jane
Martin
because she had done much of the early Quaker research that helped me to
link
our family to other Quaker families. My Great Uncle Robert E. Graham, a
talented historian in Wayne Co., Indiana had also done extensive
research.
Please write to me if you would like sources, have questions, corrections,
or if you know anything more about any of these people. I would greatly
appreciate it because there is a lot more I would like to learn and put on
this
site, and I would like to help others to find their ancestors.
I will be adding much more information and a great many more names, so if you
do not see what you are looking for now, come back soon.
I hope you enjoy your visit!
Please sign my
guestbook.

I do genealogical research for reasonable rates in Wayne and Randolph
Counties
in
Indiana and in Preble County in Ohio. I search original documents in
courthouses, churches, libraries, funeral homes, cemetery offices, and more.
I'll also take photographs of grave
stones,
ancestral homes, or other landmarks in your family. Let me find
your ancestors! I would be pleased to do a free email consultation to
prepare a research plan for you. Please email me for details. Susan E. Davis
Sincerely,
Susan Elizabeth Martin Davis
